'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
