Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
